The Team Approach

In Prodigy, students frequently work in teams to create artistic works. There is also peer mentoring between experienced and new students. These social and interpersonal processes are incorporated into the creative process to help students develop new styles of positive interaction with others.

Art Projects

A unique feature of Prodigy is the use of art projects.  Youth create art which ultimately connects them to their lived experience.  This connection promotes the development of a better understanding of community for the youth.  Social purpose artistic themes and activities have included: exploring media influence, personal and cultural history, conflict resolution, self-reflection exercises, and environmental concerns.
